Description

A graveyard shaded by large trees in bright sunlight. In the foreground stand stone tombs: a low slab and two pyramid-shaped tops carved with scrolls, shells and foliage. Behind a wooden picket fence rise a church with a domed roof and a square tower.

A graveyard in bright sunlight under large trees, with carved tombs in the foreground and the church behind a fence. Thomson's note names it "Graveyard, St. Lazare"; negative 371 shows some of the same tombs close up. The 1981 print is the mirror image of the positive from the negative: one of the two is reversed left to right.
