Description

A view from higher ground over the village of Lapithos, with houses and trees in the middle distance. Beyond them a patchwork of cultivated fields spreads across the flat plain toward the sea on the horizon. In the foreground a long, diagonal concrete channel runs down the right side among bare poplars and dense shrubs, and rocky ground lies at the lower left.

A wide view looking down from a hillside over a village of flat-roofed houses among trees, with a long low wall or path running down the right side. Beyond the village lie a patchwork of cultivated fields and the flat coastal plain, with the sea along the top of the photograph. Tall bare poplar-like trees stand in the foreground and a rough stony slope is at the lower left.
