Description

Two broken stone walls stand against a pale, empty sky. The left section is built of rubble stones, and the right is a larger face of rougher, lichen-spotted masonry with a low course of stones along its base. A dense shrub grows out of the wall top at left, and a dark, blurred mass fills the lower left foreground while loose stones and small plants lie on the ground at right.

Description, scan 2
A ruined masonry wall of rough stones rises at the centre, its top broken into uneven blocks, and a dense dark shrub grows out of its face on the left. At the far left, a pale, hazy open expanse stretches toward the horizon. A dark, out-of-focus mass fills the lower left foreground, and loose stones and scrub lie at the foot of the wall on the right.
