Description

A quay in the foreground is piled with large sacks, and a wooden sailing boat loaded with more sacks lies alongside, with a small rowing boat nearby. Tall masts and rigging frame the view across the water to a waterfront of white and low buildings, with domed church towers on the right. Several men are visible in and around the boats.
