Description

Three men seen from behind walk down into a cut in the earth toward a dark opening in the far wall, which looks like a tomb entrance. The man on the left wears a pale pith helmet and khaki shirt, the middle man is partly hidden behind him, and the man on the right wears a dark hat and white shirt. The sides of the cut are packed earth and loose stones, with a wooden pole and stacked bricks at the right edge.

Description, scan 2
Two men in pale helmets and a third in a dark brimmed hat walk down a cut passage toward a dark tomb opening in the excavated soil. The earth walls on either side show layers of soil, and a wooden pole leans against the right-hand face. Loose stones and a few blocks lie on the ground at the right edge of the trench.
