Hellenistic roman Mersinaki Terracotta limestone, sculpture (Me. 0669+1043)

Description

A standing draped statue, seen in side view, rests on a wooden plinth against a plain grey backdrop. The long garment falls in folds from the shoulders, with one arm bent to hold drapery at the chest and the other hanging at the side. The head has short wavy hair and a face turned to the right, and the rough, pitted surface shows wear and breaks at the lower arm and feet.
