Description

A steep rocky hill rises across the frame, crowned by broken towers and ruined walls that follow the ridge and slopes. Stone walls with crenellated tops descend in stepped lines through scrub and boulders, and a rubble-strewn slope fills the middle ground. Dark conifers frame the left and lower edges under a pale sky.

Description, scan 2
A rocky hilltop is crowned by ruined towers, and a line of ruined walls runs down its slopes and along the ridge. Pines and scrub grow among the boulders, and loose stones cover the bare slope in the foreground. Dark conifers frame the left and right edges of the view under a pale sky.
