Bronze, Mountings, Fragments, fibula (Me.733)

Fibula fragment of bronze from Mersinaki: a long thin pin bent into a curved loop at one end. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06630c. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A bronze find photographed on a mount: a long, thin, slightly uneven rod runs horizontally from the left and bends sharply into a wide U-shaped curve at the right. The surface is dark and corroded with lighter patches, and the thinner end of the rod is broken. A handwritten label is attached at the lower left of the card, and a small blue mark appears at the top left corner.
