Marble Sculpture (Me.659)

Marble relief plaque of a standing female figure in a long draped garment, with vertical folds — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06438. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A carved relief on an irregularly shaped marble plaque shows a standing figure with its head slightly turned and hair gathered at the back. The long garment falls in deep vertical folds, and one arm extends out toward the left edge while the other is bent near the body. The plaque is photographed against a plain grey backdrop, with its rounded top and uneven outline clearly visible.
