Pottery White Grounded lekythos from Marion, with a single handle and dark painted fan motifs — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05524f. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A tall, narrow-necked vessel with a flaring mouth and a single strap handle stands upright on a round foot. Its pale surface carries dark painted fan-shaped motifs and a band of key-like pattern near the shoulder, while the lower body has plain horizontal bands. Cracks and wear show on the neck, and the photograph is mounted on a card with a cream border against a grey backdrop.
