Description
A single ring, oval in outline, with a thick dark band across the top and bottom and a ribbed, coiled section on the left that ends in a rounded tip. The ring fills most of the frame against a pale grey background, with bright highlights along its right side and an uneven, worn surface. The photograph is mounted on a grey card with a narrow border and handwriting along the bottom edge.

- Description, scan 2
- Two rings of corroded metal lie on a plain grey backdrop, one above the other. The upper ring is thick and dark with a crusted surface, its ends overlapping at the top, while the lower ring is smaller and more open with pale metallic highlights along its edge. Their surfaces look rough and pitted, with patches of light metal showing through the dark corrosion.
- Description, scan 3
- A single open ring photographed flat, filling most of the square print. Its band is dark and rough-surfaced, with light highlights along the inner edge and bluish-grey patches on the left and right sides. The print sits on a pale mount with a border.
