Statue of a standing bearded man with one hand raised, from Mersinaki. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05009. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A tall standing male statue, photographed full length against a plain grey backdrop on a low rectangular base. The head has a short beard and a band of curled hair; the raised hand is open with the palm forward, and the other forearm is held across the chest. The long garment falls to the feet, and the surface shows joins, cracks and small losses.
