Hellenistic roman Mersinaki Terracotta limestone

Description

A carved head shown in left profile against a plain grey backdrop, with a rounded face, a straight nose and a small mouth. The hair is pulled up into a high bun at the top, with a wavy textured band across the head and a sculpted ear below it. The surface is worn and mottled, and the neck ends in a broken base at the bottom of the frame.
