Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04278m. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A close photograph of an oval object with a raised rim and dark, irregular markings across its face, set on a pale ground. The print is mounted on a light card with a cream border around it. The markings are soft-edged, so the surface detail is only partly legible.

Description, scan 2
An oval engraved object with a raised rim, shown enlarged on a grey mount with a cream border. The engraved design fills the flat face with dark strokes, a short vertical element with a rounded lower part at the centre, and a curved band along the bottom edge. The photograph is soft and grainy, so fine detail is hard to make out, and a dark rectangle sits in the lower right corner.
