Bowls (A.18.18.39)

Two fragmentary bowls, encrusted with pale deposits, photographed side by side; from Amathus — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04275b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

Two fragmentary bowls are shown side by side on a pale surface. The left bowl is a low, rounded vessel with a broken section and a gap in its rim, while the right one is a curved fragment with a broken upper edge. Both are dark grey and covered in a pale, crusty encrustation, and their broken edges show the thickness of the wall.
