Excavation at the palace at Vouni, with stones and trees

Description
Cut stone blocks and rubble walls line a partly excavated area, with a deep narrow trench running down the centre of the frame. Loose earth and a spoil heap lie at the left edge, and further walls and scattered stones extend across the ground behind. A tree stands in the upper background against an empty sky.
