Excavation at Amathus with many pottery vessels lying in a trench and on a sloping floor

Description

A high-angle view down into a rock-cut excavation with a cutting running diagonally through the frame. Numerous pottery vessels, including bowls, jugs and jars, lie in place along the dark trench and on the pale floor and ledges, some partly sunk in soil. No people are shown, and the vessels appear undisturbed and in the ground where they were found.
