Description

Looking down into a deep, narrow excavated cut, the photograph shows many pottery vessels and sherds lying on the dark soil. Larger jars and bowls are tilted or stacked against the pale rock face at the upper right, and a flat stone slab sits near the top centre. The shadow of a tripod leg falls across the upper right corner.

Description, scan 2
Looking down into Tomb 10 at Amathus through a rock-cut opening, finds lie on the floor as they were found. In the foreground at left, several pottery vessels, including a jar and a bowl, sit among broken sherds, with a loose stone nearby. Further back in the dark chamber, more vessels and rounded objects are scattered among soil and stones.
