Object photograph·C05360·1927–1931
Gold and silver jewellery from Amathus (A.10.7, A.10.4)

Description
A single dark ring of plain, even width fills most of a square white card placed on a cream backing. Its surface looks mottled and its edges are soft, so the metal and any detail cannot be made out. A faint handwritten mark appears at the bottom edge of the frame.

- Description, scan 2
- A single C-shaped object, dark grey with lighter highlights, is shown on a white-bordered print mounted on a cream card. The object is thickest along its lower curve and tapers toward two blunt ends, the upper one curling slightly inward. Its surface looks rough and worn, and the metal cannot be identified from the photograph alone.
- Description, scan 3
- A dark, curled shape with a paler patch in its upper part lies on a light grey ground. The image is out of focus, so its edges, surface and material cannot be made out. A cream border surrounds the image, and small specks mark the surface.
- Description, scan 4
- A single dark, open ring-shaped object, thicker at the upper left and ending in a hooked end at the right, is shown against a pale grey background. Thin lines above and to the right may be a thread or support. The photograph is soft-focused, so the metal and surface detail cannot be made out, and the print is mounted on a cream card.
- Description, scan 5
- A single ring with a dark, pitted surface and uneven thickness, with a small break or gap at the lower edge. It is centred on a pale card mount with a narrow margin, and a small spot marks the inner edge. Faint scratches cross the card around the object.
- Description, scan 6
- A close, blurred photograph of one dark, curved object shaped like a thick hook or open loop, with pale highlights along its edges. The object fills most of a white square print, which sits on a cream card mount with no scale or label visible. Surface detail is lost, so the material and any decoration cannot be made out.
- Description, scan 7
- A long, dark, corroded metal object curves across a pale paper strip, tapering at both ends with a small loop near the lower middle. Above and to the right, four small photographs of objects are pasted on the card: two rings and two curled or hook-shaped pieces, each with a handwritten number label beneath.
- Description, scan 8
- A grey photographic print is mounted on a cream card. A long, dark, curved object runs diagonally across it, tapering to a fine point at the upper left and bearing small leaf-shaped or bud-like projections near the upper right. A crumpled pale scrap is stuck to the print in the lower right, and small dark specks are scattered across the grey ground.
- Description, scan 9
- A single ring-shaped object lies centred on a pale grey background. It is thick and uneven, dark in tone, with a narrow break at the top and another near the bottom, and its edges look worn. The photograph is slightly soft, and no scale or other object appears beside the ring.
