Excavation at Kythrea: stone construction

Description

Low foundations of rough stone blocks, of varied size, curve across the foreground of a dug area in packed earth and scattered rubble. A small white stake stands among the stones. Beyond the excavation, a stony expanse rises to a ridge of hills, with a few buildings and trees along the horizon.
