Excavation with stones at the palace at Vouni

Description
Looking down into excavated trenches at the palace at Vouni, with pale stone walls rising along the cuttings and flat floor surfaces between them. Loose stones and rubble lie on the disturbed earth at the top of the frame, and dark shadows fall into the cut channels. Bare ground and scrub extend beyond the excavation.
