Pottery White Painted I bowl (L.408.58)

White Painted I bowl from Lapithos, seen from above, with concentric rings and crosshatched radiating sectors — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C01970. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A shallow two-handled bowl seen from above, its interior decorated with dark concentric bands and thin rings around a small central circle with a cross motif. Crosshatched wedges alternate with plain sectors between the rings, and the handles project to the left and right. A crack runs across the interior, and the bowl stands on a pale surface against a plain backdrop.
