White Painted I jug with a single loop handle and dark painted bands, from the Lapithos Kastros tombs — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C01967. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A jug with a flared neck, a single loop handle running from rim to shoulder, and a globular body on a low ring foot. Dark paint forms bands across the shoulder and the lower body, with thin lines between them, and the foot is dark. A diagonal crack runs down the body and a chip is missing near the base, with the jug standing on a pale surface against a plain backdrop.
