Description

Several men stand at the edge of a deep excavation trench. In front of them, many figurines, some with raised arms and wearing caps, lie together with tall cylindrical vessels and a large rounded pot. Other people stand at the top edge of the trench in the background, and a mound of earth rises at the right.

Description, scan 2
Four men stand side by side at the edge of a deep excavation trench, looking towards the camera, and the man on the far right appears to hold a small tool. To the left, a heap of broken terracotta figurines, heads and vessels lies in the trench, with larger fragments and column-like pieces among them. Several more people in long garments stand at the top edge of the dig in the background, partly cut off by the frame.
