Excavation at Ayia Irini, in situ find

Description

Seen from above, a dense mass of small pale figurines lies in dark soil in a trench. Larger figure fragments, some with cap-like or pointed heads and one with an arm raised, stand or lean against the trench wall at the top. A small vessel sits at lower right, and a small animal figure lies near the bottom edge.
