Stones during excavation at the palace at Vouni

Description
A vertical face of excavated earth runs diagonally across the centre, its dark, crumbly layers and small stones clearly exposed. At the upper right, a course of large stone blocks forms a wall above a recess cut into the soil. The flat, dusty ground of the excavation extends in the foreground and background.
