- Description, scan 2
- About fifteen workers in light clothing dig with picks and shovels up a steep, earthen slope that rises toward a long dry-stone wall along the top. A white tent stands at the right edge, and scrubby bushes and loose stones fill the foreground. The cut slope shows the excavated soil clearly, and a few figures sit or kneel among the diggers.
