Tomb 47 at Marion, during excavation

Description
Looking down a steeply cut passage towards the opening of a rock-cut tomb chamber, with stepped soil and stone surfaces descending into the darker interior. Pale rock and loose stones line the sides, and grass and small plants grow along the lower edge in the foreground. A few rounded stones sit in the shadowed opening.
