Description

A narrow, deep cutting with steep earth walls on both sides opens toward a pale sky at the top of the frame. The floor steps down in uneven levels of packed soil with scattered small stones, and a stick or rod lies across the lower left corner. No people are shown; the view looks up the slope of the cut.
