Excavation at Plakes, Lapithos, with stones and trees

Description

A low stone wall curves across the middle of an excavated area, with a cleared earth floor in front and steep cut banks of soil on the sides. Loose stones lie along the left edge, and a dark opening is visible at the right behind the wall. Beyond the trench, bushes and trees grow on terraced slopes below hazy hills.
