Description

A rock-cut or excavated trench shows layered earth banks with many loose and embedded stones. In the upper background, rows of larger pale stones stand along a higher terrace, and a stepped cut runs across the middle. In the lower foreground, a narrow floor of packed earth runs between the banks, with no people or equipment visible.
