Description

A narrow excavation trench runs back between steep earth walls and ends at a tall, rough face of packed earth or mudbrick. Stones lie at the base of this face, and a dark recess sits in its upper part. Loose sand covers the floor of the trench in the foreground, with a pale curved object at the lower right edge.
