Description

A large broken jar lies partly buried in the dark soil of an excavated cutting, its upper part broken away and a loose sherd lying beside it. Above it, large cut stone blocks form a wall or terrace edge, and dry grass and a bush grow on the ground behind. The soil is pale and dry around the pit.

Description, scan 2
A broken pottery vessel with a narrow base stands partly embedded in soil in a dark hollow of the excavation. Large pale rough blocks lie above it, and a low bush and loose soil cover the slope at the top of the frame. Shadow falls across the lower left, and loose flakes lie in the upper right corner.
