Description

A wide, sloping hillside with bare earth, scrub and a few small trees. A white tent stands in the centre, with a group of people sitting in its shade and a cluster of about five more seated on the slope to the right. At the left edge, a cut in the ground with exposed stones may be part of an excavation, though this is hard to make out.

Description, scan 2
Seen from above, a white canvas tent stands on a slope of bare, stony ground, with several people sitting in small groups beside it and to the right. Scattered shrubs and a few trees dot the open hillside, and low rubble and stone remains lie in the middle distance. A diagonal streak of light crosses the lower left of the frame.
