Soli: the theatre

Description
Close view of a stone structure at the theatre at Soli, with rough rubble walls of dark and pale stones rising on either side. A narrow dark opening runs through the middle between the walls, and the ground falls away to the right. Soil and earth fill gaps between the stones on the left, and the bare sky shows above the masonry.

- Description, scan 2
- Rough-faced stone walls rise on either side of a narrow dark gap that leads down into shadow at the bottom of the frame. The walls are built of irregular fieldstones, with earth and smaller stones packed in places, and their top edges run along the skyline. No people or finds are visible; the view is taken at ground level, looking along the opening.
