Description

A deep excavation trench has layered earth walls rising behind a flat, paved surface. On the left, a flight of rough stone steps climbs along the trench wall, and on the right, large cut stone blocks stand beside a stone-paved step. The soil faces show horizontal layers with stones embedded in them, and a tool handle leans at the top right edge.
