The large oval vessel fills the centre of the scene, with two ring-shaped handles on its sides and a rounded body. A man in a turban leans over its top, and other turbaned heads show above the rim. On the left, two armed men sit on a low ledge, and a third stands with a long gun on the right. Trees and low hills fill the background, and a small dog lies on the path.
