Description
The mosaic shows tesserae in white, pink, brown and ochre. At right a bearded, bare-chested man in a draped cloak reaches out his arm toward the centre. At left a woman with a wreath of leaves and grapes raises a shallow cup, and part of a reclining figure is visible at the far left edge. Greek lettering runs across the upper field, with the name IKARIOS clearly legible above the man.
