Description

Around a dozen columns stand in a line across the middle distance, with a low stone wall and dark trees behind them under a cloudy sky. In the foreground, rough blocks of ruined walls and scattered column pieces, including a capital and drums, lie on the ground. No people are visible.

English

A long row of standing white columns crosses an open paved area at Salamis near Famagusta, with fallen column drums and capitals lying on the ground. Ruined stone walls frame the foreground and the right-hand side of the view.
