Description

A line of standing columns stretches across the middle distance of an open, dry site. In the foreground a damaged column base and a squared block sit among fallen drums and broken stone pieces. A tall fluted column fills the right edge, and a dark band of trees lies beyond the ruins under a pale sky.

English

Rows of fluted column shafts and bases stand among scattered architectural blocks and fallen drums at the ancient site of Salamis. A low line of trees and a clear sky close the view behind the columns.
