    Listed with 'Whitall' as a Smyrna Kunsthandel (art trade) source of Cypriot pieces (4 ceramics EC-CA, 2 terracottas) bought for the Humboldt University (Berlin Winckelmann-Institut) collection by S. Loeschcke in 1911-13. Recke's text says Loeschcke bought Cypriot pieces in Smyrna in 1911 and 1912 (and in Athens in 1912/13) for his father Georg's institute. The Humboldt pieces were lost in the Second World War.
