    Named, with the artist Frangoullides, as conservator of the icons gathered in 1936 in the Church of Panagia Phaneromeni, Nicosia (the nucleus of the later Byzantine Museum collection); the text says the treatment was later proved wrong and many icons were destroyed (citing Eliades 2008). Dating to 1936 is inferred from the sentence's position in the discussion of the 1936 collection.
