Life and work
- 1931Published a Handbook and Guide to the Liverpool collection of Cypriote sculpture (1931a) and an article on limestone heads from Cyprus in the Liverpool Public Museums (1931b, Annals of Archaeology and Anthropology 18: 29-38).
LiverpoolToumazou et al. 2011
- 1931Suggested that the Liverpool Cypriot sculpture given in 1872 by Captain Fothergill of the S.S. Thessalia came from Cesnola; Ulbrich and Kiely (2012) call this a long-held assumption resting on Droop's suggestion and argue it very possibly originated with R. H. Lang instead. Counts (2011) records Droop (1931a: 7) as tracing the Liverpool collection back to Cesnola, and cites a Liverpool head of unknown provenience (Droop 1931b, pl. 9:2) as stylistically from an Athienou-region workshop.
