Life and work

With Dr. Guillemard attended the general meeting of the Hellenic Society committee (Sir Charles Newton presiding) that formed a sub-committee for organised research in Cyprus; the Cambridge pair declared willingness to co-operate, the Cambridge Worts grant being too small for a separate undertaking. Smith was ultimately unable to go to Cyprus and M. R. James took his place.
