Life and work
- 1893Thanked by Ohnefalsch-Richter, as Director of the Bonn University Museum, for supplying illustrations and descriptions for Kypros, the Bible and Homer.
- 1911–1913Recke: Siegfrid Loeschke bought Cypriot pieces in Athens (1912/13) and Smyrna (1911 and 1912) 'im Auftrag seines Vaters Georg' for the Berlin Winckelmann-Institut. The Humboldt-Universität holding (4 ceramics, 2 terracottas; war losses) came from Smyrna dealers Whitall and von Lennep and the Athens trade, all through S. Loeschcke 1911-13.
