    Supported with generosity the partial restoration of the temple of Aphrodite on the Amathus acropolis, begun in the 1980s with the École's architect M. Schmid; Karageorghis (1996) regrets that the work had stalled in recent years and calls Lanitis 'le regretté', 'un éminent citoyen de Limassol'.
