    Addressee of a letter from the French chargé d'affaires at Constantinople (Therapia, 3 September 1865) reporting that a statue found near Larnaca three years earlier (1862) by 'MM. Renan (sic) et Vogüé' was still in its crate at the Larnaca customs despite a firman obtained by the ambassador; the chargé was petitioning Aali Pasha about the customs difficulties. Foucart-Borville identifies it with the 'statue de M. Grasset' of Duthoit's correspondence. The letter is in the Archives Nationales, F 21.4045.
