Life and work

  1. 1960
Planned a visit to Cyprus; Stewart wrote him letters of recommendation, one to Petro Colocassides (Stewart's 'general agent for antiquities in Cyprus and the best of the coin dealers'). Blunt could not visit Tjiklos but reported on a possible Venetian coin hoard held by Colocassides, which Stewart thought 'probably the tag end of the Ledra Street find'; Stewart added that he thought Petro not entirely honest over the deal.
