Epigrapher, active in 1766. Lived at Larnaca. Worked with Carsten Niebuhr.

Life and work

  1. c. 1766
    Consulted by Mariti and Carsten Niebuhr, who showed him Niebuhr's copies of the inscriptions at the church of St Lazarus. He read them as Armenian and made out the names, the country and the dates of some of the writers, showing them to be graffiti by devout visitors rather than Phoenician.
