History
- 1973–1980Specimens of ancient concrete from the American Expedition to Idalion were being tested at the Smithsonian Institution; Koucky reported preliminary results confirming true concrete in Cypro-Classical buildings of the West Terrace. The Smithsonian Institution Press also published the 1982 volume Early Pyrotechnology, which carried a Koucky and Steinberg article on mining and mineral dressing on Cyprus.
